The Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Research Program at The New York University Medical Center is committed to improving the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD. The program is currently studying the factors that promote risk and coping in PTSD. The factors we study include brain structure, genetics, health indicators, and stress hormones. We believe that this work will advance our understanding of PTSD and lead to more accurate diagnosis and more effective treatments..
